Job Summary The Painter works closely with the Regional Vice President to perform painting, finishing and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures.
The Painter prepares surfaces for painting and finishing; applies undercoats and finishes; performs soda and water blasting; also advises in the selection and storage of painting materials.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred • One year painting experience required • Valid driver’s license • Ability to travel to multiple properties • Federal and State Fair Housing knowledge • Exceptional customer service skills • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor • Strong attention to detail • Skill of coordination – being able to adjust actions in relation to others’ actions • Knowledge of how to operate necessary and basic painting tools and equipment • Skill of equipment selection – determining kind of tools and equipment needed • Knowledge of application code requirements and method practices of maintenance of tools and equipment • Knowledge of hazards and appropriate precautionary measures to be taken • Skill to perform routine maintenance on equipment
