Job Summary
TheLeasing Support Specialistis primarily responsible for traditional leasing duties including but not limited to conducting prospect tours, completing application and lease file paperwork, securing renewals and responding to resident needs. This position is based on-site and may rotate between one or more properties at the direction of the Vice President. This position performs tasks related to the community or region’s overall marketing, leasing, and resident retention programs and strategies. The Leasing Support Specialist may also mentor new Leasing Specialists and provide supplemental training on occasion. The Leasing Support Specialist must be willing to work weekends and rotate between multiple properties for varying lengths of time. Successful Leasing Support Specialists demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, high level of energy, and adaptability to a fast paced and changing environment.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or G.E.D required
* College degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication or Business preferred
* A minimum of two years’ experience as a Leasing Specialist or comparable combined experience/education in property management or other sales/service related industry
* Experience in training delivery preferred
* Student property experience preferred
* MRI-RM and Excel experience preferred
* Mentoring/Training experience preferred
* Exceptional communication and sales skills
* Results oriented
* Superior customer service skills
* Critical thinking, sound decision-making and time management skills
* Professional demeanor
